Muscle bikes are 4 Strokes from the 1970's and the 1980's
They are now extremely difficult to find and if you do they are generally way too expensive - if you do buy one you don't want to ride it as the investment is too high and cant afford to damage it.
RetroVMX Utilises more readily available motorcycles and recreates Muscle Bikes - the donor motorcycle is generally the brother of the Muscle Bike such as: the TT500 brother is the XT500 and the XR600R brother is the XL600R.
All suspension and other components equivalent to original or higher specifications
Motors are generally built to original or higher specifications
Frames are customised to provide additional strength where needed for racing
The final result is a classic Muscle Bike that is affordable and licensed for the road so it can be used and enjoyed every day - and yes the bikes are built to be able to race in VMX or VINDuro or Desert Racing if you desire.
Most bikes have Compliance Plates and can be licensed for road use
Most bikes that are used on the road are licensed under the donor bike compliance plate.
